Nursery Sales Associate
Full Time • Hooksett
Faulkner’s Landscaping & Nursery Inc. is looking to hire a highly motivated, hardworking, and sales driven person to join our nursery team!
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the industry.
Plant knowledge and landscape design experience are preferred but not mandatory.
Must be willing to learn how to use skid steers and loaders.
All candidates considered, and training will be provided once hired.
This role has multiple responsibilities including (but not limited to):
· Customer service and sales
· Set up and maintenance of greenhouse and nursery yard
· Loading customer orders and unloading delivery trucks
· Plant care and maintenance
· Seasonal set up and take down
· Loading mulch and stone into trucks/trailers
· Safe use of equipment such as skid steer and loader
· Cash register and phone responsibilities
· All other daily assigned duties
We are open 7 days a week 7:30 am – 5pm
Candidates must be able to work one weekend day. This role will require frequent bending, kneeling, lifting of 30+ pounds, and requires a willingness to work outside in all weather conditions.
A 3% commission will be awarded to qualified sales team members.
*Starting wages are based on knowledge and experience.

Salary: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour

Established in 1992, Faulkner’s Landscaping and Nursery is the leading retail and wholesale supplier of perennials, shrubs and trees in central New Hampshire. Our extensive inventory includes a diverse selection of specialty and ornamental trees and shrubs. Our landscaping division has been designing and installing outdoor living areas for over 20 years. The synergy between our garden center and landscaping division often provides greater clarity in the finished design. We encourage customers to visit our nursery, pick the brains of our knowledgeable staff and help choose the actual plants for their yard.
Owner Steve Faulkner travels coast-to-coast each year visiting growers to select the best quality plants for our nursery. His continued dedication to plant quality has been producing beautiful dividends in our local community for nearly two decades now. His efforts show in the quality and selection of our inventory.
Steve has been in the landscape business for over 23 years. Although he graduated from Southern NH University with a degree in business, he was drawn to landscape design. He worked for two years at a local landscape company learning all aspects of hardscape work, where he developed a keen eye for blending ponds, brickwork, and other materials seamlessly into the existing site. In 1987, with a lawn mower, pickup truck and just a $1,000 in his pocket, he started his own landscape maintenance company and began providing design as an added service for his weekly clients.
